Over the last year the staff and sub-contractors of Redrow West Country have been fundraising for both Devon Freewheelers and another Devon charity, the Get Changed Theatre Company.
The money was raised through a variety of events including a 5-aside football competition, a golf day, a Christmas Ball and the Redrow Charity Challenge Extravaganza. The challenge involved the fundraisers taking part in a four day, running and walking challenge, visiting Redrow offices and sites around Devon and Cornwall.
The final amount raised for Devon Freewheelers across the year, is an incredible £23,464. Pictured presenting a cheque to Trustees Maurice Ayling and Dave Cook is Andrew Addison, Sales Director of Redrow West Country.
"Following the magnificent donation received from Redrow Homes, we have taken the opportunity to procure a new motorcycle to replace one of the older machines currently on the fleet. We have decided to purchase a new Yamaha FJR1300A, currently the only type approved blood bike on the market.
It is hoped that the bike will be ready for delivery in mid April and we look forward to posting some photographs once it arrives."
