As  you all know Emily is fundraising for Devon freewheelers and she has just competed her 100 mile as promised but that’s not enough for this young lady she has now extend the fundraising a bit more.

On the 6 August I set off into the eye of Storm Antoni to complete the most challenging of the 4 Centurion 100 mile races. With over 12,000ft elevation and a 30 hour cut off, this wasn’t a race to take lightly. The conditions were brutal, I saw every season throughout those 27 hours from relentless wind and rain all the way to blue skies and sunshine. However, I didn’t let the weather or the conditions defeat me. I bum shuffled down bits of the trail too dangerous to run, ran through strong winds & sang my way through the night as sleep deprivation kicked in. I kept my mantra “stay determined” going through my head powering me to the finish line.I finished in 26hr and 46minutes coming 9th female which was over 2hr quicker than my last 100 miler. I felt proud to run for Devon Freewheelers and to represent females within the ultra running community.

I have decided to extend my fundraising and will now be continuing to raise money until the end of the year. I have since signed up to the Beachy Head Marathon and The Granite 50, a 50 mile challenging run through Dartmoor in the winter. Please consider sponsoring me, so I can continue to raise money for Devon Freewheelers.
