How Can You Help?
Fundraising Volunteers
- Assist at charity events and community gatherings
- Collect and distribute donation pots and promotional materials
- Give informative talks and presentations about our work
Rider Volunteers
- Transport essential medical supplies to hospitals and clinics
- Requirements:
- Advanced Rider Certificate (RoSPA or IAM)
- Over 30 years old
- Successful completion of a check ride
Driver Volunteers
- Transport blood bikes and equipment between locations
- Requirements:
- Over 25 years old
- Full, clean driving license
- Minimum of two years’ driving experience
Speaker Volunteers
- Share the story of Devon Freewheelers at community events and organizations
- Requirements:
- Confidence in public speaking
- Ability to engage and inspire audiences
How to Volunteer:
- Complete the Application Form: Fill out our online application form to express your interest.
- Attend an Introductory Meeting: Meet with our volunteer coordinator to discuss your skills and interests.
- Undergo Necessary Checks: If applicable, complete background checks and training.
- Start Volunteering: Begin your volunteer journey and contribute to our lifesaving mission.

As a charity we rely on the support and generosity of donations from members of the public, corporate and club sponsorship. There are a number of different ways to donate; online or in person. You can set up a monthly Direct Debit or Standing Order with your bank.

About Us
The Devon Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service is a registered charity providing a vital and efficient service to the NHS. Our team of volunteer riders, drivers, call handlers, and fundraisers transport blood, medical samples, equipment, medication, and other essential supplies to NHS establishments.
